Important Note on 1and1 and Self-Hosted Blogs

I plan to write more about my recent experiences in web hosting later. For now, I want the record to show that 1and1 has a 2MB limit on SQL uploads. What that means if you don’t know is that real bloggers with a database over 2MB (mine is currently 10MB) can never backup or restore their blog database.

As I wait for my blog to come back online I am plagued by the thought: “Where are people getting their quotes?” Seriously though, I have been through two other hosting companies and found that I want to remain doing business with #topclasshost. Went Back to Topclasshost and …

After almost 2 days of a white screen supposed to be my site, I thought I’d be a fool not to venture out. I tried out two other hosting providers. After that I realized I was too “used to” the topclasshost interface and service. I cut my teeth on email them for support and backing up my sql through cPanel. So, I went back and opened a new account at Topclasshost to see if it would show up. It did. Now I just have to wait until my domains are activated back at the place for now I am still calling home.
