I was blessed and prayed for this wonderful Presbyterian event leading into lent and then Easter. I felt love.
Ash Wednesday marks the start of the 40-day Lenten season for Christians, serving as a solemn day of repentance, fasting, and reflection before Easter. Occurring 46 days before Easter (Feb. 18, 2026), it is defined by the tradition of placing ashes on the forehead to symbolize mortality and the need for reconciliation with God.
Thank you Church of the Valley Pres. ♥️

Hi guys! I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart—those of you reading this on my blog. I used to be a very serious WordPress blogger, and some of you might remember me from back then. But having a family, getting married, and raising kids can kind of put you to sleep creatively, especially when it comes to blogging and music. I always tried to keep it alive, but I didn’t do it nearly as much as I do now that I’m divorced and my three kids are adults. A few updates for you:
I’m working on my 12th album of music. It’s going to be called The Laughing Box, and I have it slated to drop on March 6. It’s not quite finished yet, but it already sounds really good. I think I’m going to record it in Audacity and try to make it sound as professional as possible for you guys. Lastly, I want to encourage you young people. I hope you enjoy your sporting event tomorrow—America, everybody loves football. I never have. I’ve never liked football, never liked football players, and I’ve never really liked most sports, even on TV. I do enjoy watching golf sometimes. It’s kind of like a big megachurch, with a leather ball in the middle of it. But to the young, I’ll just say this: there is a way out of this incredible political mess in America. The way out is in—meaning through meditation. Are you okay? In a storm, we reach for something stationary, something solid, like a rail. I imagine some of you don’t yet know what’s sturdy enough to lean on. In a way, that’s good if it pushes you toward meditation. The way out is in. Stay cool. Comment if you want—let’s make this a dialogue. If you want it rougher, more poetic, or more confrontational, I can tune it in that direction too. 🎱🕺😁

Here’s a thought: Drop the CEO and divide out his salary to the workers. 🤷
