Chapter One
Awe
Did you ever learn about the formation of the Grand Canyon in school? About how a gigantic world famous sedimentary intelligible river was formed by a small trickle or ravine some hundred million years ago? Better yet, have you seen it? In me, this is a natural form that gives me pause, it awakens my sense of “awe.” I’m lucky to have a mental place to “go” in my mind where I can sense something that old and a momentum that continues to this day. Karma is like that, as far as momentum goes. Though many have tried to codify the process in words, it really just leaves the searcher awestruck trying to understand this force that even drives the slow turning cog of human evolution, that is what I believe. I am in awe of the momentum of the river that has gradually cut the rock and geography of Arizona at the Grand Canyon. What things make you feel awestruck? It could be a song, or a favorite band playing live. It could be the fates speaking when you get a message as an answer to a desperate prayer. Who are the fates? If you are a Christian, as I am, Jesus. Jesus is the universe and the fates and the Greek Gods and whatever else you choose to label deity albeit unchristian. In this book, my higher power is Jesucristo (a pet term I love for me) and I will refer to Him often as terms like “UNI.” If this is a hang-up for you and you prefer a more orthodox narrowly worded book, try Robert Schuller. I worship Christ as the whole UNI, and I am awestruck by it. You must start the spiritual path in Awe. As a quick intro to my book, first chapters are good for that, please decide to read knowing love this story: An astronaut was asked after the moon walk if he had a religious experience up there. The interviewer asks him, “Did you see God?” The Astronaut replied, “Tell us about that!” The interviewer leaned in waiting to hear about her Jesus. “God is a black woman.”
For all intents and purposes, my path for you to God is the same. Know that going in sweetheart. I make zero apologies for my imagination.
Deal with other views or this book isn’t your path.
This will be short, since I know many have already decided me too esoteric. In later chapters I will teach you how to get in touch with “The Observer” in you, your “inner being” your lover of awe and EVERYTHING. This is true of course until human voices wake up your fears and the observer is excluded, still watching and taking in everything, unable to produce awe of the mind which is unimportant and only valuable sometimes. That’s what I said, thought is less valuable at this point in evolution than it was when the Grand Canyon was starting with its trickle. Human thought is less neecessary now. I can teach you how to exclude it and include AWE in your existence. Eckhart Tolle says there are children being born now who have evolved already and are “enlightened beings.” He contends this is proof of the evolutionary path going away from thought since our human needs now are not running from tigers. Thoughts can be reined in and awe can rule your consciousness.
Mahareeshi was asked how one knows if one is progressing on the spiritual path.
Tupperware has made billions with a concept of keeping a surplus of food fresh. Even so, what happens to leftovers without tupperware? They tend to decay or if you freeze them, they tend to get a little crunchy. This book explores a life of obedience to feelings instead of thoughts. In about 7 years of practicing relaxation daily and reading about the Consciousness movement, I have a lot to teach you. Come on in my little birds, mama has regurgitated worms to spit down your spiritual throat. Ready? In time you’ll know how to get your own meat of awe, some of you may already be aware how to. This book is more for the beginner. Mostly, this is how I fill my diary. A chapter a day for 12 days then a few days to clean things up. You can purchase this book for $20 paperback or ebook at lulu.com THANK YOU. Now, on with the gushing waterfalls of how to stop thinking, at will.
Maharesshi answered that the only true measure of ones progress along the spiritual path is the amount of time one spends not thinking.
Are you ready to flex that muscle? You have the power, get ready f you aren’t and let’s hit chapter two babes.
