Blog Down Again

I have a bunch of free blogs I use for different purposes. This one has sort of become my venting board when technology lets me down. After all, creating and innovating sometimes requires a rant.

My hosting provider crashed their systems last Thursday and I was able to restore most of my database from a backup I had made a month ago. I was feeling good about the company again and then BAM … my site went down again tonight.

• No blogging about my day at Disneyland (so I did it on Facebook)
• No doing posts for money (we’ll have to see how long that can last with a dead server!)
• No adding the cool backgrounds I made in the past week
• No doing the thing I vowed to start doing “backing up”
• And a bunch of other “no doing”s

The question before me now is simple: Do I stay with this host server or take my backups and start elsewhere. They have been really helpful to me for years. Is this just something I should accept? Really hard to say at this point. Chances are, it will go back on in a little bit and I will be over these frustrations. But sometimes frustrations can be good. They force us to find better pastures. What’s your advice?
